Let us not to forget that we are undergoing the process of thawing out from a collective freeze. Underneath this freeze state contains the energy of multiple survival responses that are reverberating deep within our nervous systems.
More than that, this “thawing out” state is activating traumas that are held in complexes. The originating traumas are often laid down in the first two years of life. So, many of us are attempting to cope with triggered states - right in this moment - that are decades old.
More now than ever do we need practices and tools that hold our biology and psychology in a sacred space. It is critical that we learn tools allow us to befriend our survival responses, shadows and personas created from unprocessed traumas.
In our next Sisters of the Forest gathering, we will enter into part 2 of “The AoH work.” These are embodiment practices that allow us to gently and slowly build capacity to withstand and bring to consciousness the stuck energy that trauma creates.
Specifically, these practices are called pendulation and titration. We will practice these concepts through yoga movement and breath, then we will learn them via lecture and then we will learn somatic integration embodiment practices enabling us to lay new pathways in our nervous systems.
Tickets are $72 per person without membership.
